PAMPER ESSENTIALS FOR THE BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND

Who doesn’t love a three-day weekend? The August bank holiday guarantees rain, a festival and probably a hangover at the end of it. For me, the best way to make the most of a bank holiday Monday is to have a pamper afternoon. I’m not really one for lying in bath tubs and dousing myself in body lotions on a weekly basis (I just can’t be bothered!) but sometimes it’s totally called for.

A bath is obviously a great starting point. I like to start off with a good scrub using pretty much any Soap and Glory bath product. Flake Away is a good shout if you’re after an exfoliator but I also love Clean on Me. A few essential oils is always a nice touch; I like adding Lavender as I find it really calming and it can help with sleep if you’re doing an evening pamper.

Hair treatments are something I do very rarely, however I love an oil from time to time… I was recently sent some Macadamia Oil samples and have been loving the results. The Moisturising Rinse* is great to use as a normal conditioner however I like to leave it on for 10 minutes whilst I shave my legs to get fabulous results. Rinse out and you have shiny hair guaranteed.

Next up is a face mask. I’m not really a fan of face masks because I hate the dry, itchy feeling I often find they leave on my skin. This Bliss Micro Magic Spa PoweredMicrodermabrasion Treatment* (mouthful alert!) is a great alternative. It’s a cleanser/exfoliant/treatment hybrid so you can get a ton of benefits from it. You only need to leave it on for one or two minutes after applying so it’s great for those like me who aren’t facemask fans.

Moving onto the body I’m loving firming creams. I love Clarins body care and think it’s really underrated in the blogging community. Their Extra-Firming Body Cream leaves the skin feeling nourished and firm, although I’m not totally sold by the science behind it, it’s a nice thought at least!

Finally is the body part most of us forget about; feet. If you were lucky enough to spend your weekend at Reading or Creamfields (I’m super jealous) then chances are they probably aren’t in their best state. Soapand Glory Heel Genius is a my favourite budget foot cream. It has a cool minty scent and feels really refreshing on the feet, so it’s great for treating dead skin.

Finishing up with a few final touches, I love a good lip balm and Blistex is always a winner for me. Aaaand obviously no pamper session would be complete without nail varnish. I’m loving this CollectionNail Polish in ‘Rasberry Pink.’ It’s a great dupe for Essie’s Watermelon and an absolute bargain at £1.50.
